 01/09/2007 - After our summer break Control Breaks are back with a winter of quality new releases both from exicting new producers and all your favorite Control Breaks' superstars. 10/09/2006 - The next release on Control Breaks is from another producer making his debut on the label with 'Bump It Up' from Dekoy, with the original mix being supported by an excellent Porno Breaks remix. Look for it in the shops and online from 9th October. 04/08/2006 - Tom Real's remix of 'Run' got played on Annie Nightingale's Radio 1 show last night, have a listen here. It's about 50 minutes into the show. 17/07/2006 - 'Run' has been receiving some excellent reviews from all corners of the breakbeat world: 09/06/2006 - 'Dr Satan' was played on Radio One again last night, this time on Annie Nightingale's show. So be sure to have a listen to the show on the BBC web site here. 04/06/2006 - With only a few weeks before release you can now check out the soon to be classic 'Run' on our Downloads page. 04/05/2006 - The label's next release is from Strider, a new producer to the label, who hits us with the a piece of funky, party breaks in the shape of 'Run'. The original mix is more than ably supported on the flip by a rocky, electro remix by Tom Real. The tracks hit the shops on June 19th so go out and pick it up, it's set to be one of the releases of the summer.  07/04/2006 - Control Breaks joins the MySpace revolution! We're at www.myspace.com/controlbreaks so come and have a look, and please be our friend! 19/03/2006 - The new release, Porno Breaks' '8 Girl Orgy' is out April 3rd. You can hear a samples here. Then look for it at your local record store for the 12" or online at all our usual digital stores. And remember to check both the dirty Original Mix and Merka's dark remix on the flip. 27/02/2006 - Control Breaks are co-sponsoring a brand new night in Bristol called Frisk with our very own Porno Breaks boys as the residents, so it's something we're sure you'll all want to get to. The night launches on March 17th, with Aquasky, Drumattic Twins, Autobots and Porno Breaks all playing the launch then monthly parties with just as quality lineups following after that. You can check the flyer here. 26/02/2006 - Control Breaks are proud to annouce that our next single '8 Girl Orgy' by Porno Breaks will be out at the end of March. The vinyl comes with the original mix and a remix by hot producer Merka. Look for 12" and Mp3's soon. 27/01/2006 - You can now buy all our releases straight from us in our brand new Shop. You can get all the latest tracks the second they leave the pressing plant and all the Control Breaks classics you might have missed. And it's all fast, easy and secure! 08/01/2006 - 'Dr Satan' got played on Radio One last night on Fergie's show. Go here and skip foward about an hour and 18 minutes to have a listen to the tune and a short interview with D:K:S himself. 29/12/2005 - The Porno Breaks boys have got themselves a couple of new radio shows on www.innacityfm.com. D:K:S can be heard on The Iniquity Sessions, 7-9pm every thursday with the most eclectic range of beats and breaks including the infamous "moment of mosh" where they get down to one seriously heavy track that is rockin them hard. All hosted by D:K:S himself, DJ Absniff & MC Zed. 04/12/2005 - 'Dr Satan' and 'In Yer Section' have been going down extremely well all across the breaks world, check out this feedback: 14/10/2005 - Spooky breaks-house stormer 'Dr Satan' and bassline anthem 'In Yer Section' will be out in the shops, most fittingly on Halloween itself, the 31st October. So if you've not got the promo or the Mp3 go get it then! 03/10/2005 - Our new single 'In yer Section' by Section 63 and 'Dr Satan' by Porno Breaks vs Day Walka has now been released as an Mp3 on all the usual web sites with a sample right here on our downloads page. It'll be out in the shops on 12" vinyl in the next few weeks for the traditionalists amongst you. 13/09/2005 - As you'll no doubt have noticed the web page has been tarted up a little, we hope you all like it and are looking forward to our next release the much anticipated "In Yer Section" by label leader Section 63 and the dark stomper "Dr Satan" by Porno Breaks with a little help from Day Walka. 10/08/2005 - The label also gets a little piece in the Label News section of IDJ too, so something else for you to go pick up. 05/08/2005 - The single gets a review in today's DJ Mag so get down the shops and get yourself a copy. 03/08/2005 - Both tracks are now up to buy on DJ Download. Head over there if you haven't got them on Mp3 yet. 16/07/2005 - The first single is now out in your local record shop so get down there and buy it! If you have trouble finding it then online stores Juno Records, Streetwise Music and Hard to Find Records are all selling it. 15/07/2005 - The launch has been and gone and it was a huge success with a packed out Inigo going mental to the Control Breaks sounds, some pics from the night will be posted soon! 05/07/2005 - Just over a week to go to the launch party! The party is at Bar Inigo on July 14th from 8pm to 2am with free entry to all Control Breaks fans! And with this scorching DJ lineup how can you not attend? 17/05/2005 - A couple of new annoucements for everyone firstly promo's of the firsts single should be in the record shops in the next few weeks whilst MP3's will be purchasable from Karma Download or Track it Down later on this week! 26/04/2005 - With everything now in place we can annouce that the first ever Control Breaks single, the double A-side of Porno Breaks' 'Rhythm Schism' and Section 63's 'Catchfire' will be getting it's full release in July 2005 with limited promos available a few weeks prior to this from your favorite record store. At the same time you will also be able to get MP3 versions from several download sites. 11/04/2005 - Andy D of Porno Breaks fame is playing at Payload this saturday at the Rhythm Factory along with Aquasky, Baobinga, DJ Mutiny ,Hook and Sling and Malinna. Get down there early and get a free copy of Aquasky's new mix cd! 01/04/2005 - The Breaks Bar, every wednesday night at Retox, Covent Garden, now has it's own web page. 30/03/2005 - Control Breaks are proud to annouce that our first single will be distributed to your favorite record shop by ST Holdings. More news to follow soon on this, MP3 distribution and our Launch Party, all leading up to the release of the first single. 16/02/2005 - A little update for you today, we've added on a Prono Breaks biography on our Artists page. And remember you can check out Porno Breaks on the Friday night breaks show on Ministry of Sound Radio show called Metro Funk or at The Breaks Bars @ Retox, Covent Garden on Wednesday nights which is fast becoming the hottest mid-week breaks night in the capital. 03/02/2005 - A new year is here and Control Breaks are as busy as ever! We've been involved in sorting out the final bits of behind the scenes stuff such as sorting out distribution both online and to your favorite record shops, mastering the first singles and a whole host of other things we've been working on for a while now. So over the next couple of months look out for the following:
29/11/2004 - As you may have noticed the web page has had a little re-design, expect to see more and even better changes soon. 22/11/2004 - Control Breaks are now proud to annouce details of our second and third singles whick will be released shortly after the breaks bomb that is Stonger and Shaken. The second single will be a double A side from new Control Breaks outfit Porno Breaks with the tracks Cocaine FX and Armada Skank. Following that will be another double A side led by Section 63's Catchfire and on the flip Porno Breaks next tune, Nite Animal. Check out the cover art below, listen to samples of the tracks in our Downloads section and look for them shops early next year!   10/11/2004 - Porno Breaks are DJing live for Ministry of Sound Radio this friday from 8-10pm on Metro Funk and they will be playing the first Control Breaks single and their own productions. So make sure to tune in! 09/11/2004 - We've now confirmed that our second single will be coming from top breaks duo Porno Breaks. We've yet to confirm the exact tracks for this double a-side but look for samples to be on the downloads page soon. And if you want to check out Andy D, one half of Porno Breaks, DJing see him at Retox every wednesday, details here or with the Armada Sound System. 07/11/2004 - Early promos of the first single have been getting good responses from industry figures including the legendary DJ and producer Chad Jackson who simply said it was "Very cool.". 19/10/2004 - Check out the the artwork for the cover of the first single that has been completed for us by our illustrator and designer Jess Pillings (click on the thumbnail for a full size image):   04/10/2004 - Our first single has been finally confimed as a double A side of 'Stonger' and 'Shaken' by Semtech and Section 63 respectively. Look for it to be released towards the end of November on 12" Vinyl in your local record store and online as an MP3. You can check out a sample of both tracks on our Downloads page. 30/09/2004 - Check out our Downloads section for some free complete tunes by our artists for you to download. 22/09/2004 - Porno Breaks another breaks outfit agree to begin promoting the label. This two man crew of Andy Durrant and Dan Smith have years of experience in the dance music world between them and can be caught DJ all over the south east. 12/09/2004 - James Good has joined the label as Semtech. He's another quality breaks producer with his tune 'Stronger' being on the first release from the label. 20/08/2004 - The Control Breaks web site goes online. We'll be adding lots more to the site in the next few weeks so check back regularly. 01/08/2004 - Control Breaks Recordings is formed by Andy Brookes and Alex Beck. Andy is our first artist in the guise of Section 63 and also as Head of A&R, Alex is Head of Business and Marketing. We hope to sign several other artists soon and have our first release in Autumn 2004. |
