The artists currently creating tunes for Control Breaks are:

Section aka joint head of the label Andy Brookes writes tough but soulful floor fillers guaranteed to please all true breaks heads. His first release on Control Breaks was the soulful groover 'Catchfire', and was followed up with 'In Yer Section' and the huge hit 'Nakatomi Plaza'.
Andy started out his musical career on guitar until in '97 free parties, Nu Skool Breaks and a brand new 303 changed everything. Recognising that he had found his calling, Andy packed himself off to the ACM in Guildford to get his hands dirty with some serious production kit. No sooner was he there than he met the Porno Breaks boys and a host of other top breaks talent.
These days you'll find Andy glued to his computer and should you be fortunate enough to distract him long enough for a chat he'll probably tell you of nights checking out the competition at Fabric, ambitious plans for future projects and his admiration for Kraftwerk, Adam Freeland and Giorgio Morodor.

Dub loving breaks DJs Porno Breaks got their name from sampling porno movies and have since earned a reputation for creating the filthiest sounds around. Doubters need only hear their releases ‘Rhythm Schism’, '8 Girl Orgy' and 'Dr Satan' as well as their 'Bump It Up' remix, to be inexorably drawn into their illicit cosmos.
Andy D and D:K:S , the two members of Porno Breaks, met a few years back and soon found a unique chemistry. Although he cut his teeth writing drum and bass tunes, D:K:S is known for the surprising diversity of his musical tastes, a fact reflected in his eclectic DJ set and diverse production output including a number of solo productions on a variety of labels. Andy has been Djing everything from Dub to Techno everywhere from Glastonbury to Amsterdam since the glory days of '89. His recent Djing has concentrated on Breakbeat and has played all over the country including at the Ministry of Sound, Chew the Fat and Rhythm Factory. Together they form the liveliest and most unpredictable act on the label and if you love their sound look out for releases on Fat!, Sic and a host of other Breaks labels.

Strider, real name Ben Watts, is the latest addition to Control Breaks. After spending years at home in Wales as a bedroom dj and going most unfarily but largely unnoticed, he decided the next logical step was to get into production. After only a year of experimentation and learning he's already creating massive dancefloor smashes. After he sent the label a few of his demos we were quick to sign a track up which foreds the backbone of his first release on the label which was the dancefloor orientated 'Run'. It's a solid party track which was quickly picked up by a host of DJs, the final release coupled with an electro rock remix by Tom Real that exploded in summer 2006. Since then his remix of Section's 'Nakatomi Plaza' gained huge acclaim and was in a host of DJ and sales Top 10's over Xmas 2006 not to mention his flow of quality releases on funky breakbeat label Splank!.

The day his school's music department unveiled it's brand new Atari running Emagic, Jon Cooke aka Dekoy, was hooked! Jon started experimenting with the electronic side of music and slowly made a home studio for himself. So slowly infact that he's only just bought a pair of studio monitors 10 years later! Recently jon won a remix competition in DJ Mag and was in the top 5 for his efforts on a reworking of an Eat Static tune. Jon has worked with the Drunken Allstars and had a release through them. Since then he has brushed up on his production skills and, figuring he'd sat on his bee-hind for long enough, is back with some hot new tunes! His first for the label was party track 'Bump It Up' which he followed with his even more funky and fun filled 'Chunk the Funk', a co-production with Apply the Breaks DJ, Rob Focuz.
